Bike Fitting

Proper bike fitting allows riders to maximize power, efficiency, and comfort. This is vital for all types of cyclists; from commuters to racers. Poor fitment on your bicycle can contribute to overuse injuries, reduced riding endurance, and increased pain/numbness. 

Bike fitting will involve a physiotherapy assessment detailing any biomechanical issues that may affect your ride. Adjustments to the bike will then be made to optimize the best riding position specific to you. Therapeutic exercises may be prescribed as well to prevent injuries and further improve your ride.

  • Bike fitting is beneficial for all riders. Whether you are a weekend rider, commute to work, or training for events, it is crucial to have a properly fitted bike to avoid potential injuries and improve power and efficiency.

  • Expect a typical bike fit to take between 90-120 minutes.

  • Our bike fit rates are $270. Most extended health plans will be able to cover physiotherapy services up to a maximum per service. Consult your plan for specific coverage.

  • Bike fittings are done by special appointment only. Please contact us at anthony@acphysiotherapy.ca to set up a session!

    • Your bicycle, in clean and working condition

    • Shoes that you normally ride in (if you ride with cleats, please make sure the screws are clean and accessible)

    • Athletic attire that isn’t too baggy

    • A helmet if you are having headaches and/or neck discomfort
